Rosoboronexport may undergo structural reform soon – official

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trading company may be subjected to a structural reform in the near future, Director of the Russian Industry Agency Boris Alyoshin told reporters on Thursday.

"The diversification of Rosoboroexport's activities together with its involvement in industrial assets require that its organization should be adjusted. The decisions to that effect are likely to be adopted soonest," he said attending the conference on defense industry.

According to him, Rosoboronexport is a state-owned mediator in arms trade deals and works effectively as such, but as a corporation that owns a number of other companies, it is far from being efficient.

"Its success as a state mediator is undoubted, with distinguished results reached," he said.
