MOSCOW. March 20 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trader has drafted proposals that will provide for quick technical and technological re-equipment of defense industry enterprises, Alexander Brindikov, head of the Rosoboronexport advisors group, said on Tuesday.
"This is a set of measures that includes compensating part of the enterprises' expenses on credit repayment out of the federal budget, as well as providing state guarantees for the loans attracted to the defense industry," Brindikov told Interfax-AVN.
It is also suggested to exempt from taxation part of the revenues spent on technological re-equipment, and ensure purpose-oriented funding of technological equipment procurement for the state-owned enterprises that realize state armament programs and are engaged in military-technical cooperation with other states, he said.
Rosoboronexport's proposals "were put down on paper at a recent session of the Defense Industry Commission under the Russian government," Brindikov noted.
