Russian chief negotiator at six-party talks leaving Beijing

BEIJING. March 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov, who leads the Russian delegation at the six-party talks on the North Korea nuclear problem in Beijing, headed for the airport on Thursday afternoon to leave for Moscow.

Speaking earlier to Russian journalists, Losyukov said the current round of the six-party talks was suspended as the North Korean delegation had left home.

The six-party talks have in fact reached a deadlock, as Pyongyang is insisting on unfreezing North Korea's $25-million accounts at Banco Delta Asia in Macao.

Losyukov is leaving for Moscow to take part in preparations for Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit to Russia next week.
