MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax-AVN) - A train with materiel and equipment of the Russian 12th military base, which left Batumi on Thursday night, has arrived in Russia, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Army Colonel Igor Konashenkov told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
The next train is to leave for Russia in late June. It will the ninth train in 2007.
The Abul training center of the Russian 62nd military base in Akhalkalaki, was handed over to the Georgian Defense Ministry, Konashenkov said.
Under the Russian-Georgian agreement, the 62nd base is to be withdrawn by the turn of 2007 and the 12th base in 2008.
