KYIV. July 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Ukraine and Russia are comparing their expenditures on and assessing compliance with specification requirements of the An-70 propfan transport, Ukrainian Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko said in Moscow on Friday.
"Ukraine and Russia are evaluating what they have accomplished against specification requirements," Hrytsenko said after a second meeting of the security subcommittee of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee.
Hrytsenko and Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov have agreed to complete the work in July, and convene a final meeting of experts by 15 August.
A separate An-70 working group, established under an agreement with the Russian defense minister, held a meeting on June 25, Hrytsneko said.
Russia decided to withdraw from the An-70 development project earlier this year.
A special joint workgroup, tasked with settling legal, financial, and organizational issues, related to Russia's withdrawal from the An-70 project, has been established and has started work, Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said.
