Interior Ministry Forces’ mandate in Karabulak expanded – commander

NOVOYE VILLAGE (Moscow region). Sept 6 (Interfax-AVN) - The designation of the Ingush town of Karabulak as an anti-terrorist operational zone will allow for the increased efficiency of units belonging to the Russian Interior Ministry Forces stationed in the area, Forces Commander Gen. Nikolai Rogozhkin said on Thursday.

"The North Caucasian headquarters has declared Karabulak an area of anti-terrorist operations, which means that our units will have an expanded mission and can use special weaponry," he said.

The units will act in compliance with the Russian Law on the Suppression of Terrorism.
