NALCHIK. Sept 13 (Interfax-AVN) - A landmine exploded in downtown Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, on Wednesday evening, the local Interior Ministry told Interfax.
"The landmine was planted in the bushes near the Nalchik Hotel at the intersection of Lermontov and Shogentsukov Streets. It went off when a police patrol car was passing by. The shockwave spun the vehicle around, but none of the policemen in it were hurt," it said.
An investigative team including operatives and experts from the Kabardino-Balkarian Interior Ministry and Federal Security Service (FSB) department examined the scene.
This was the seventh bombing in Kabardino-Balkaria in September.
