MAGAS. Sept 13 (Interfax-AVN) - The recent murders in Ingushetia are politically motivated, Presidential Envoy to the Southern Federal District Dmitry Kozak said at a meeting of law enforcement officers on Thursday.
"Obviously, they are using this inane and inhumane method to hamper the return of Russians to the republic. I can guarantee that they won't succeed," he said.
"Today's meeting gives us hope for coordinated efforts of law enforcers," Kozak said.
The crime rate in Ingushetia has increased recently, as militants attacked officials, policemen, army servicemen and local Russians. There were a number of attacks in September. Kozak criticized the local police for uncoordinated anti-crime efforts.
