MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax-AVN) - A total of 133,600 Defense Ministry servicemen need to be provided with accommodation and better living conditions, a State Duma source told Interfax-AVN.
These figures are stated in an official reply to a request received by the State Duma from the Defense Ministry. The document specifies that of 133,600, 49,100 need permanent accommodation and 22,200 need better living conditions. A further 52,700 need their employers to provide accommodation and 9,600 their employers to provide better living facilities.
"This data is current as of mid-2007," a source said.
