MOSCOW. Sept 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia supports the idea of holding a new conference on the future of the Conventional Arms in Europe Treaty (CFE).
"Germany's proposal to hold a conference on CFE in Moscow was well received," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Boris Malakhov told Interfax on Friday.
An emergency conference on CFE was held in Vienna in June at Russia's request, he recalled. "We believe that a new conference might continue the substantial talks that we started in Vienna," the diplomat said.
