NALCHIK. Sept 14 (Interfax-AVN) - The Kabardino-Balkaria Prosecutor's Office Investigation Committee branch in Nalchik has launched a criminal case over a militant clash that occurred during a federal security forces' special operation in the village of Khasanya near Nalchik early on Friday.
"The criminal case was launched under two articles of the Penal Code - 317 (an assassination attempt against law enforcement officers) and 222 (illicit traffic of weapons and explosive devices)," the investigation committee told Interfax-AVN.
