Unidentified gunmen fire at police outpost in Ingushetia, two children wounded

ROSTOV-ON-DON. Sept 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Two children were wounded as unidentified gunmen fired upon a police outpost on the Kavkaz federal highway just outside the Ingush city of Nazran, a source from the headquarters of the combined forces in the North Caucasus told Interfax-AVN.

"Unidentified gunmen started firing rifle-attached grenade launchers at a police outpost on the Kavkaz federal highway. Preliminary reports indicate that the outpost was not damaged, and none of the policemen was hurt. However, two small children in a nearby private house, which came under fire, were wounded," the source said.

A military serviceman was also wounded by unidentified attackers in the Surkhakhi military unit in the Nazran district on Friday afternoon, he said.
