PSKOV. Sept 17 (Interfax-AVN) - The next Russian-Indian antiterrorist exercise Indra-2008 will take place in India, Chief of the Indian Army Staff Gen. Joginder Jaswant Singh said.
India, as well as Russia, attaches great importance to countering terrorism, Singh told journalists after the landing operation of Russian and Indian troopers within the framework of the Indra-2007 exercise near Pskov. A decision to hold the Indra-2008 exercise with the participation of the Russian and Indian armed forces in India was made, the general said.
The format of the exercise will be extended in 2008, he said.
The first Indra exercise was held in 1995.
