2,500 Interior Ministry troops pulled out of Ingushetia

MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax-AVN) - A total of 2,500 Interior Ministry troops were pulled out of Ingushetia in late September, Russian Interior Ministry Forces Commander-in-Chief General of the Army Nikolai Rogozhkin told Interfax-AVN in Moscow on Wednesday.

"We started withdrawing more troops from Ingushetia on 20 September. The troops were deployed there in August, 2007. At the present time all units have arrived at their permanent deployment bases. Security in Ingushetia is being enforced by the Interior Ministry Forces deployed there on a permanent basis," Rogozhkin said.
