MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to compensate retired military and security service officers for arrears in pensions that have accumulated since 1990s.
Under the decree, people who were on active service in the armed forces and Interior Ministry agencies in 1994 will receive a lump-sum in addition to their pensions in connection with the 25% increase in allowances to people serving at the Federal Government Communications and Information Service, counterintelligence agencies (FSB), the border guard troops, the armed forces, the Interior Forces, and the police based on government directives of August 15 and December 7, 1994.
