BISHKEK. Oct 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Kyrgyzstan will not tighten security because of the parliament dissolution, President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said on a state television channel on Monday.
"There will be no emergency measures taken because of the dissolution of parliament," Bakiyev said.
"The president, the government and courts are functioning as usual. All human rights and freedoms are ensured and duly protected," he said.
"Everyone will stay calm and continue to work. Let us prepare for new parliamentary elections. Our path is clear," Bakiyev said.
The president dissolved the parliament earlier in the day. The date of new elections is as yet unknown.
