MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Another battalion of the Strategic Missile Force division stationed in Teikovo will be equipped with advanced Topol-M mobile systems in December 2007, Col. Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov, the SMF commander, said on Friday.
"The development in the unit is organized in compliance with the schedule. The battalion will be ready to operate as planned," reads the press release of the SMF information service, received by Interfax-AVN on Friday.
During the working tour of the Teikovo division the SMF commander discussed issues pertaining to the commissioning of the equipment for service with the battalion with high-ranking officials of the Special Constructions Agency, representatives of the developer, subcontractors and the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
