Baluyevsky’s talks in Washington will center around missile defense, CFE

MSOCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Army Chief of Staff Yury Baluyevsky will discuss missile defense problems and will sign a memorandum on developing bilateral military cooperation with the U.S. in Washington.

The working visit by Baluyevsky, who flies out to Washington on December 3, includes talks with Admiral Michael Mullen, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax-AVN on Friday.

"The negotiations are expected to focus on the problems related to missile defense and the CFE (Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty), as well as future bilateral relations in the military sphere," a source said.
