WASHINGTON. Feb 13 (Interfax-AVN) - The U.S. opposes signing the treaty on space demilitarization, because it is impossible to guarantee that such a treaty is implemented, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said on Tuesday.
The United States is against new legal norms and other limitations which aim to ban or curb access to space or use of space, she said.
On Tuesday Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented the Russia-Chinese draft of the space demilitarization treaty during the disarmament conference in Geneva.
