Soyuz-FG with GSTB-V2/B satellite due to be launched on April 27 - source

BAIKONUR. April 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The Soyuz-FG/Fregate rocket with the GSTB-V2/B payload (or GIOVE-B, Galileo In-Orbit Validation Element) for the Galileo European Satellite Navigation System is due to be launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on April 27, a source at Baikonur told Interfax-AVN on Friday.

Currently, the Barmin Mechanical Engineers Design Bureau and the Baikonur Federal Space Center have begun preparing the launching site N31 for the upcoming launch of the rocket, the source said.

The GIOVE-B spacecraft is now at the assembly buliding on the site N112, where it is being moved from a preparation unit to a finishing room for payload assembly.

Meanwhile, the Fregate upper stage is being filled with propellants at the refueling station N31, the source added.
