MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Russian General Staff chief Yury Baluyevsky said his meeting with his Japanese counterpart Takasi Saito, which took place in Moscow on Friday, had addressed a broad range of global security issues.
"We spent over five hours discussing issues that are of interest to the defense ministries of the two countries and our peoples," Baluyevsky told reporters after meeting with Saito.
Specifically, the meeting had addressed security in Asia and the pacific, including North Korea's nuclear program, the prospects of the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE), and missile defense issues, said Baluyevsky.
