MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax) - The Japanese foreign minister's spokesman Kazuo Kodama said talks between Russian and Japanese foreign ministers Sergei Lavrov and Masahiko Komura in Moscow on Monday will hopefully promote the settlement of the territorial issue between the two countries.
"Concerning the territorial status of four southern islands, we hope the two foreign ministers will agree to continue their dialogue and make a concrete advancement towards the conclusion of a peace treaty," Kodama told Russian journalists.
