Woman wounded in brawl involving peacekeepers in western Georgia – TV company

TBILISI. April 14 (Interfax) - A woman was wounded in an incident involving Russian peacekeepers in western Georgia, Georgia's Rustavi 2 TV company reported on Sunday.

A brawl, which resulted in gunfire, erupted between Russian peacekeepers deployed in the Zugdidi district and local residents, the TV company said.

An employee of one of the nearby shops was wounded in the shoulder, it reported, adding that Georgian police are investigating the incident.

Georgian authorities and the Russian peacekeeping command have not commented on this report to Interfax.
