MOSCOW. April 14 (Interfax-AVN) - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states will present a joint arms exposition at the International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS) in Zhukovsky in 2009.
"It was decided to hold CSTO's first exposition at MAKS next year," head of the defense industry department at the Russian Industry and Energy Ministry Anatoly Peresypkin told Interfax-AVN on Monday.
CSTO countries will showcase the military products of their joint venture, he said.
"The idea of participating at the show is at the embryonic stages. The CSTO working group will meet in Yerevan in the third decade of April to discuss the organization's participation at the exhibition," he said.
Following the results of their participation at MAKS 2009 the CSTO members will decide whether to participate further at other exhibitions and shows held in their territories.
