MOSCOW. April 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Army Commander Gen. Alexei Maslov heads the commission inspecting the readiness of all-volunteer units stationed in the Leningrad Military District.
"The Army HQ commission is inspecting permanent-readiness motorized rifle units, stationed in the vicinity of Pechenga in the Murmanks region and Kamenka in the Leningrad region," Army spokesman Col. Igor Konashenkov told Interfax-AVN on Tuesday, noting that the commission would inspect readiness, performance of service duties, antiterror activities and condition of equipment and materiel.
The inspection is to last until April 18, and will also address social and medical support issues.
