BAKU. April 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Tbilisi is not going to 'oust' Russia from the process of settling the conflicts on Georgian territory, Georgian Deputy Reintegration Minister Dmitry Manjavidze said.
"We are not ousting anyone, and saying that we are is a blatant lie. On the contrary, we have demonstrated our willingness to involve Russia in this process at all levels," Manjavidze told journalists in Baku.
"As regards Russian peacekeepers, the matter is not about them being bad. They simply do not comply with the agreement concluded between us all," he said.
Manjavidze also expressed concern over the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement on Russia's intention to step up links with South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Manjavidze, however, said he was sure that Russia would not recognize Abkhazia's independence in its own interests.
