MOSCOW. April 17 (Interfax) - The second unit of the Smolensk nuclear power plant has been shut down, Rosenergoatom said.
The power plant personnel shut down the reactor because of a pipeline crack. The unit will be repaired and then connected to the power network again.
The first and third units of the Smolensk nuclear power plant are operational, and the radiation level is normal.
