Cache with arms found in Chechnya

GROZNY. April 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Arms and ammunition were found in a cache in the village of Bamut, Achkhoi-Martan district, Chechnya, spokesman for the Chechen Interior Ministry Magomed Deniyev told Interfax.

"Local police and officers of the Chechen Interior Ministry's criminal investigation department found a cache with arms organized by members of illegal armed groups in an abandoned house on Sheripov Street," Deniyev said.

An RPK machine gun, RPG-26 grenade launcher, 20 VOG-17 rounds, 27 rounds for an RPG-7 grenade launcher, 18 detonators for VOG-17, grenades, and over 1,000 ammunition were found in the cache.

Measures to establish those who own the cache are being taken, Deniyev said.
