MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The Komsomolsk-on-Amur based Gagarin aircraft association (KnAAPO), which is a Suhoi company's affiliate, has been included into the list of authorized suppliers of the Boeing company.
"A through audit of KnAAPO's quality and production management system preceded the decision. Following the results of the inspection, Bureau Veritas Certification issued the certificate of compliance with the AS/EN 9100 aerospace quality standard to the company," reads the press release of the Sukhoi company, received by Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.
The company was also registered in the database of the OASIS international air quality group at the same time.
"The certificate will make KnAAPO a partner of many leading aircraft corporations of the world, which will increase its export revenues. Presently, the plant supplies titanium alloy parts for Boeing 737 aircraft," reads the press release.
