ST. PETERSBURG. July 3 (Interfax-AVN) - European prosecutors general have urged the Council of Europe to draft non-criminal justice recommendations.
"We have asked the Council of Europe to draft non-criminal justice recommendations for prosecutors," Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika told a final press briefing at the St. Petersburg conference of European prosecutors general.
He said agreement was reached on the participation of prosecutors general in the protection of human rights.
The final document of the St. Petersburg conference will soon be presented to the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors, Director General of the CoE Directorate General of Human Rights and Legal Affairs Philippe Boillat said.
