Russian planes were downed by missile systems provided by Ukraine – Gen. Staff

MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax-AVN) - Four Russian planes were shot down in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone by Buk-M1 systems, supplied to Georgia by Ukraine, Russian General Staff Deputy Head Anatoly Nogovitsyn told the press in Moscow on Wednesday.

"The Buk-M1 systems had been sold or handed over by the Ukrainian side," he said.
