Explosion rocks Abkhaz State Security Service headquarters, no one hurt

SUKHUMI. Sept 25 (Interfax-AVN) - A powerful explosive device went off near the Abkhaz State Security Service headquarters in Sukhumi early on Thursday.

No one was hurt in the blast, which was probably caused by a car bomb, but the headquarters and the buildings surrounding it were significantly damaged, Abkhaz State Security Service Chairman Yury Ashuba told Interfax on Thursday.

The Security Service views the incident as a terrorist attack committed by Georgian special services, Ashuba said.
