ASTANA. Sept 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Two Russian ships, the missile-carrying ship Tatarstan and the Anatoly Guzhvin hydrographic vessel, arrived in the Kazakh port of Aktau in the Mangistau region on Thursday, the Kazakh Defense Ministry said.

Caspian Flotilla Commander Vice-Admiral Viktor Kravchuk is leading the Russian naval delegation, the ministry said.

"This is an unofficial visit. It aims to step up military cooperation between the Russian and Kazakh navies," the ministry said.

The visit will last until September 30, the ministry said.
