MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax-AVN) - The Special Purpose Command (KSpN) Troops in charge of air defense in Russia's Central Economic District will hold a training session on Friday to repel a massive rocket attack from a potential enemy.
"On September 26, we are planning to simulate a massive rocket attack during an aerial offensive by air forces and to have it repelled by KSpN air defense forces," Lt. Col. Vladimir Drik, assistant to the AF Commander-in-chief, told Interfax-AVN on Thursday.
These tasks are part of the Stability 2008 strategic command post exercise, he said.
"This stage will also include practice bombing in the Kushalino training range in the Tver region," Drik said.
