British Embassy ready to provide outdoor surveillance video to help solve Yamadayev murder – Ambassador Brenton

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The British Embassy in Moscow is ready to provide Russian law enforcement agencies with video records from its outdoor surveillance cameras if this can help investigate the murder of former State Duma deputy Ruslan Yamadayev, said British Ambassador Tony Brenton.

The British embassy building is located not far from the scene of the crime.

Speaking on Echo Moskvy radio on Friday, Brenton said members of the UK diplomatic personnel had watched the records and believe there is nothing special in them that could help the investigation, but nevertheless are ready to give the records to Russian police if they find it helpful.

Yamadayev was killed while driving a car on Smolenskaya Embankment in downtown Moscow on the evening of September 24.
