NATO intelligence services following cruise of Russian Northern Fleet vessels - official

MOSCOW. Sept 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The naval forces of a number of NATO countries are tracking the cruise of a number of Russian Northern Fleet vessels, Russian Navy spokesman Igor Dygalo told Interfax on Saturday.

"Even the initial phase of the cruise of a group of Northern Fleet warships led by the heavy nuclear missile cruiser Pyotr Veliky is attracting increased attention from the intelligence services of the naval forces of certain NATO countries," Dygalo said.

"Orion patrol aircraft belonging to the Norwegian Air Force has flown over the naval group in the Norwegian Sea four times," he said.

"Since September 26, the Russian ships have also been followed by HMS Argyll of the Royal Navy," Dygalo said.
