MOSCOW. Sept 29 (Interfax-AVN) - South Korea and Russia are concerned over the fact that North Korea has suspended the deactivation of it nuclear facilities, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said.
"We, together with President [Dmitry Medvedev], expressed concerns over North Korea's measures to suspend the deactivation of its nuclear facilities," the South Korean president told a news conference in the Kremlin following with talks with Medvedev on Monday.
Lee said that Medvedev and he "agreed on tight cooperation in the name of reaching peaceful resolution of the North Korean problem."
North Korea demanded a week ago that International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors remove monitoring equipment from the Yongbyon nuclear center. Earlier, according to media reports, North Korean decided to resume uranium enrichment activities.
