Three interior troops wounded in attack in Chechnya

MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Three interior troops were wounded, when unidentified assailants opened fire at a motor vehicle carrying interior troops in Chechnya's Achkhoi-Martan district on Saturday, a law enforcement source told Interfax on Sunday.

"Unidentified assailants opened fire with a grenade launcher and automatic rifles at a motor vehicle carrying interior troops to their home base after a special operation. The attack was carried out one kilometer from the town of Novy Sharoi in the Achkhoi Martan District at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday," the source said.

"The wounded contract servicemen were hospitalized," he said.
