Putin vows Russia's support to Interpol

ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 7 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia will assist the activity of Interpol in every possible manner, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told the 77th session of the Interpol General Assembly in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.

"The world is becoming global, the economy is becoming global and crime is getting global too. It is impossible to efficiently counter it [crime] without organizations such as Interpol. The de-politicization of your organization impresses me. And of course we will support your organization in every possible manner," Putin said.

"But I would like to say that one should not only love his job but also love people in the name of who you are working in order to punish any crime," Putin said, wishing successes to delegates of the General Assembly.
