KHABAROVSK. Oct 15 (Interfax-AVN) - The Sukhoi Superjet 100, which is being built by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Manufacturing Association (KNAAPO), will make a landing as part of the airliner's presentation at the Khabarovsk airport on October 24.
It was reported that the first public presentation of a flight test of the new Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 was held in Komsomolsk-on-Amur on September 26, 2007. On May 19, 2008, the plane took off for the first time.
By now, the plane has made more than 20 flights, Sukhoi's General Director Mikhail Pogosyan said at the third Far East international economic forum in Khabarovsk on September 30.
More than 1,200 Superjet 100 planes will be released before 2025, he said.
The project to create a new Russian regional plane involves 40 suppliers from ten countries.
