MOSCOW. Nov 19 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said Russia wants all territorial problems, including in Kosovo and the Balkans, to be resolved in a peaceful manner.
During a press conference following his meeting with Cypriot President Demetris Christofias, Medvedev stressed that Russia's and Cyprus' positions on the majority of issues "are close or the same."
"I mean European and international issues, including the Kosovo situation, the situation in the Balkans, and the relations between Russia and the EU," he said.
"We want all these disputes to be resolved on the basis of international law, and we also want the main institutions on which the current system of international relations is based to be strengthened," said Medvedev, referring to the UN.
