No one hurt as blast shakes Gali

SUKHUMI. Jan 26 (Interfax-AVN) - A bomb went off in the center of Gali, Abkhazia, at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Gali police chief Lourens Kogonia told Interfax.

The bomb was wrapped in a bag, planted near a police vehicle. It went off when the bag was picked up, but people managed to ran away to safety, he said.

"No one was hurt. The shock wave blew out windows in a cafe and in a building near the parking lot," he also said.

Kogonia said it was "a subversive act, staged by Georgian special services, who targeted Gali district law enforcement personnel."
