Testing of sea-launched Bulava missile system will continue – Ivanov (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov has urged the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) to raise the effectiveness of testing the sea-launched Bulava missile system.

"I believe the Roscosmos leadership should assume a more active stance with regard to securing the flight tests and organization of the commercial production of Bulava strategic missile systems," he said at a Roscosmos board meeting on Monday.

He said that the tests of the sea-launched Bulava missile system will continue until the system is adopted by the Armed Forces.

Ivanov found the attention to the ground testing of components insufficient. "Cases are frequent when actual tests are substituted by mathematical calculations to prove the conformity of an item to technical requirements," he said.
