BANGALORE. Feb 11 (Interfax-AVN) - The first Mi-17 helicopters will be delivered to India under a contract for 80 helicopters which will be delivered in the beginning of 2010, Rosoboronexport Deputy General Director Viktor Komardin said.
"We hope that this batch will go to India in the beginning of 2010," Komardin said at the Bangalore air show in India.
The first deliveries will begin after the parties exchange relevant letters, he said, adding that this is expected to happen in April - May 2009. "The first deliveries will begin in nine months," he said.
The first helicopters under the contract which was signed in December 2008 have been produced, he said.
