Moscow ready to ponder additional support to coalition forces in Afghanistan

KABUL. March 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Moscow is ready to consider additional measures, which will enhance the efficiency of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF), Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a press conference following his Kabul negotiations with Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta on Monday.

"Russia is interested in the greater efficiency of international efforts in the Afghan settlement. The upcoming conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Moscow and our readiness to assist the ISAF efficiency are proof of that. We are ready to discuss additional measures, as well," he said.
