TBILISI. March 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Patriarch-Catholicos Ilia II of Georgia has called on authorities and opposition to search for peaceful ways to resolve existing problems and not to use force as a political tool.
"The situation is that tense that it is approaching a boiling point. I call on both authorities and opposition to make moves in the name of the country's welfare that will allow to ease the tense situation and peacefully resolve existing problems rather than not to use force," Ilia II said at a service at Tbilisi's St. Trinity Cathedral on Sunday.
The patriarch called on Georgians to show wisdom and stay calm.
