MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana discussed the situation in Moldova, in South Ossetia, and Abkhazia.
Karasin and Solana "discussed the state of affairs and options for interaction between Russia and the European Union as regards the stabilization of the situation in Moldova, the facilitation of the Transdniestria settlement process, and the normalization of the situation surrounding South Ossetia and Abkhazia," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement was also addressed. The discussions passed in a constructive atmosphere and confirmed mutual interest in continuing to work in this format," it said.
