BAKU. April 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Thirteen people were killed and ten were injured in the gunfire incident at the Azerbaijani State Oil Academy, a source at the Azerbaijani Health Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.
The condition of the wounded is serious but stable. The bodies were brought to the Yasamal forensic laboratory.
A criminal case may be opened on the murder charges, a police source said.
ANS channel said that one person was responsible for the incident.
The channel identified him as ethnic Azerbaijani citizen of Georgia Nadir Shirhanoglu.
Shirhanoglu killed a guard, cleaning women, a faculty head, tutors and students, including two foreigners. The shooter committed suicide.
Detectives and forensic experts are working on the location. Eyewitnesses are being questioned.
