MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax-AVN) - The presence of Russia's armed forces in conflict-ridden regions can help maintain strategic stability there and can help tackle a large number of tasks through non-military methods, says the Russian National Security Strategy for the period up to 2020 published on Wednesday.
"Russia believes that the presence of contingents of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in conflict-hit regions in accordance with international law can help maintain strategic stability and can help promote an equal strategic partnership for the purpose of solving political, economic and other tasks through non-military methods," the strategy says.
