MOSCOW. July 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Missile defense development will make impossible reductions in strategic offensive weapons, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on the Ekho Moskvy radio.
"The development of uncontrollable and unverifiable missile defense will make impossible reductions in strategic offensive weapons. What is more, it will trigger a new arms race. That is the eternal contradiction between the sword and the shield," he said.
